Graphite Print
SWHS Academic Boosters are selling a graphite print that highlights academics, athletics and co-curricular programs at SWHS. The print is available to view and purchase in the front office. Print only is $25.00. There are a limited number of copies available so get yours today.
Parking Permits
Attention 10th graders: Beginning at the end of this trimester policy will dictate that any 10th grader with a driver's license that qualifies for a blue card will be allowed to buy a parking permit.
To get a blue card a Southwestern student must have all A's and B's, no unexcused absences, and no discipline referrals.

Wear Red Day
Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital will host the Annual Wear Red Day event at Somerset Mall on Friday, February 3rd. We are encouraging students and staff to WEAR RED on Friday, February 3rd in recognition of the impact of heart disease on women.
KEY Club

Basketball
The Warriors will play Wayne County tonight here at Southwestern. Tip-off is at 7:30. Come out and support your Warriors!
Sweetheart Dance
There will be a school Sweetheart Dance following the basketball game tonight here at SWHS. Grab your sweetheart or just a friend and come dance the night away with us. Tickets are $3.00 beforehand or $5.00 at the door. Tickets are on sale in the cafeteria during lunch all week.
FBLA
FBLA regional competition is approaching. We are currently signing members up for competitive events. There is a list of competitive events that is posted in the business hallway. Please stop by to sign up for an event. If you have any questions, see an officer of the club or Mr. Muse or Mrs. Amundson. You must sign up today to attend and compete.
Marching Band and Color Guard Info
Information for Marching Band and Band Color Guard for the 2012-2013 school year is now available in the band room.
There will be an open house Tuesday, January 31, from 5:30-7:30 for any student in grades 9-11 who wants more information about marching band and band color guard. The open house will be in the SWHS Band Room.

AP Testing
To all AP students:
Sign ups for AP testing will begin on Monday, January 30. A $15.00 deposit per test is required.
You may register for tests and pay deposits in the guidance office between 8:00 and 8:30 each morning through February 20.
Your registration is required to order the exact number of tests to be given in May.

AP Calculus and AP Statistics Study Session
AP Calculus and AP Statistics students will have their first study session on Saturday, February 4, at North Laurel High School. Please return your permission forms if you have not already done so. The bus will leave about 7:15 am from the parking lot near the football field house. You will arrive back at SWHS about 3:30 pm. If you have any questions, see your AP math teacher.
